ALUMINIUM

For any alloy, the aluminium content is generally above 80%.

The main properties are low specific weight, high ductility and malleability, good mechanical strength, corrosion resistance and electrical and thermal conductivity, and a silvery grey colour.

It is classified into various alloy families such as 1000 series, 2000 series, 3000 series, 5000 series, 6000 series, and 7000 series.

The most common fields of use are in the architecture and furnishing, electrical engineering and electronics, mechanical engineering, aerospace, shipbuilding, fashion and cookware sectors.
